A commitment to acting responsibly in all that we do
The Go-Pak Group, as part of SCGP Packaging, recognises that sustainability is more than a product or campaign, it’s a commitment to acting responsibly in all that we do. Sustainability is at the forefront of our decision-making process at every level and function of our operation. We constantly strive for improvements and innovations that enhance our environmental performance, securing a healthy environment for future generations.
Our UK platform was the first in its’ industry to achieve certification to the globally recognised ISO 14001:2015 environmental management standard. We consistently review our environmental performance and bring about change to improve recycling, water usage and energy consumption, as well as reducing carbon emissions via haulage partnerships. We develop these practices and principles throughout our global supply chain, through close collaboration with all manufacturing partners.
Quality Standards
Many of our products have been re-engineered to incorporate optimal material consumption, without compromising our stringent quality standards.
We procure ethically cultivated raw materials from reputable, certified suppliers, focussing on wood-derivative materials from well managed sources
We have significantly developed our compostable Edenware™ brand to promote the use of natural materials, while improving the environmental impact of our portfolio. In 2019 we introduced our Go-rPET range, which is made with a minimum 30% recycled content.
Fully embracing our wider obligations
We, the Go-Pak Group, fully embrace the wider obligations in all that we do, undertaking due-diligence on global partners and opportunities to ensure we’re operating in pursuit of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a universal call aiming to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. It was adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. By considering the nature of our operations and their impacts, we have identified 11 goals that are most relevant for our business.
