Certifications

The International Organisation for Standardisation

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) quality certification marks the birth of Go-Pak UK’s formal quality management system. In 2010, we implemented the ISO 9001:2008 system, creating a foundation for the development of our quality principles throughout everything we do.

We were among the first in the industry to achieve certification to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, recognising our commitment not only to customers, but to stakeholders throughout the supply chain and life-cycle of our products.

Environmental management systems

From the outset, Go-Pak UK has incorporated environmental consciousness into internal processes, and encouraged staff to operate both efficiently and resourcefully. We developed this ethos into an environmental management system, and, in 2012, achieved recognition of these efforts through certification to the ISO 14001:2004 standard. In 2016, we aligned our quality and environmental management systems and achieved certification, through SGS UK Ltd, to the ISO 14001:2015 standard, two years ahead of the 2018 grace period.

BRC Global standard for storage and distribution

At Go-Pak UK, we recognise the importance of high standards throughout everything we do. The Storage and Distribution standard has provided a sound basis on which to develop our policies and practices; to continually achieve the high standards of quality we aspire to deliver to our customers. Our distribution facility’s AA+ Grade certificate not only allows us to supply leading retailers and food service operators, but also recognises our commitment to achieving our own aspirations.

The AVA (Automatic Vending Association)

The AVA (Automatic Vending Association) is a national trade association for the vending industry, which has developed a quality system very similar to the principles of ISO 9001, and ensures consistency of service and operation by its members.

Having this accreditation is a mark of quality for Go-Pak and confirmation that we work in accordance with their strict code of conduct, consistently maintaining our trading and working practices to the highest standard.

FPA (Foodservice Packaging Association)

The FPA brings together manufacturers and distributors of packaging used to serve and prepare food and beverages on the go with the UK’s hospitality industry. Together they raise standards with regard to packaging safety, environment and in-use performance. This helps to maintain a buoyant UK foodservice sector where foodservice operators and caterers are free to choose the packaging they want. They can operate within an infrastructure that allows them to continue to flourish and improve the quality and range of their menu to the public.
