Since joining Go-Pak as Business Transformation Coordinator, George’s contributions are described as having ‘fundamentally reshaped the company’s landscape’.  Known for his ‘IT genius, humility, and exceptional communication skills, he has emerged as a role model – spearheading vital technology modernisation projects, optimising back-end processes, and enhancing customer digital interfaces – regularly handling up to eight significant projects at any one time.

Speaking about George’s impact at Go-Pak, Tim Allen, UK Operations Director says:

“George’s problem-solving and people-centric approach fosters trust and admiration. His inquisitive nature injects fresh optimistic outlook while he facilitates change and innovation. He simplifies findings from complex data and theories for better comprehension. I was in no doubt that George would secure a spot on the short-list and will hopefully go on to win the Rising Star Award.”

Having initially joined the company as a part-time graphic designer, Adrienne’s creativity and flair quickly led to a full-time marketing role. Since then she has enriched all Go-Pak’s marketing collateral, single-handedly managing the development of exhibition stands, refreshing all photography, and enhancing marketing campaigns, resulting in significantly increased customer engagement both online and offline.

Mike Bristow, Group Sales & Marketing Director expands on Adrienne’s contribution to the business:

“Adrienne’s innate talent in graphic design and marketing stands out as the finest. What also sets her apart is her speed and resilience, juggling multiple deadlines, and meeting growing demands for a growing business. Her contributions have revolutionised Go-Pak, surpassing all previous design and messaging, some of which were initially earmarked for outsourcing. We wish Adrienne the best of luck in winning this prestigious award”.

Mark Byrne, chair of the FPA added: “Each year the FPA recognises and celebrates talented young people who are new to the foodservice packaging industry, but who are already making their mark within their companies and contributing to the success of each business.

“In addition to shining a spotlight on outstanding young professionals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, creativity and innovation in their roles, the Rising Star Award also seeks to encourage and inspire future talent within the industry.

“2024 has seen an unprecedented number of entries, and we congratulate both George and Adrienne on reaching this year’s shortlist”.

The winner will be presented with the Award during the 2024 FPA Award celebration at the Grand Hotel, Brighton on Thursday 07 March 2024.
