Schools across the UK run breakfast clubs to support exam students
As the 2025 exam season kicks off across the UK, schools are stepping up to support students with free breakfast clubs.
As national SATs, GCSEs, and A-levels get underway throughout the UK, many schools are going the extra mile to support students during this time by offering free breakfast clubs for their students.
These morning sessions are designed to give students a calm and positive start to their exam days. Pupils are invited to arrive a little earlier than usual to enjoy a breakfast top up — such as a fresh fruit, bakery treats and juices — in a relaxed and friendly environment. The initiative aims to ensure that no child begins their exam period feeling hungry or anxious.
However, these breakfast clubs are more than just something to eat — they’re a chance for students to gather with friends, teachers, and peers to chat, and mentally prepare for the day ahead. Schools hope that this supportive atmosphere will help reduce potential stress and boost morale, giving students the best possible start to their day.
To help make these sessions operate at seamlessly as possible and as part of their ongoing commitment to supporting communities, Go-Pak has supplied six local primary schools who are part of the Olympus Academy Trust of schools, by supplying cups, plates and other food packaging items to help serve these breakfasts to students, easing some of the financial pressure on schools and allowing them to focus on what matters most: the wellbeing of their pupils.
We know how important it is for our children to feel calm, confident, and cared for during exam week. Breakfast clubs are a simple but powerful way to show our support and help them start each day with a smile. It’s all about community and wellbeing. Thank you to Go-Pak for recognising this need and assisting us - it really helps!

This initiative is just one example of how schools and local organisations can work together to support young people. With the support of dedicated teaching staff, community partners, and initiatives like these, students are being given the tools to succeed.
Extending our best wishes to all those sitting exams around the country in the weeks ahead and we commend the efforts of all involved in helping them children and young adults to thrive.
